UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Hayes reported that the no wake buoys are in storage.  The anchors have been constructed, the permit has been approved, and installation will be done in the spring of 2005.

Hayes reported the aerator was shut down on September 24th.  Demulling and Hayes are to dismantle the hose next week.

Discussion took place regarding enforcement of the lake ordinance on water skipping near the outlet.  The major concern is protecting the aquatic vegetation.  It was the consensus of the board to table the issue until the next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

Fish Stocking:  Goodlad is to contact Mary Engle from the DNR in regards to stocking the lake with fish.

Water Quality:  Hayes is to contact Paul Garrison from the DNR in Eau Claire regarding the water quality.

Hayes questioned why the water coming into Cedar Lake is not monitored.  Hayes suggested holding a special meeting to establish a water quality committee comprised of several lake residents, the board and the DNR.  Hayes also suggested including the Polk County Land & Water Management Committee from Balsam Lake.

Discussion took place regarding future meeting dates.  The board proposed meetings on October 25th and December 27th.

Hayes moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Early and carried.  Meeting was adjourned at 8:23 p.m.

The next meeting will be October 25, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Star Prairie Community Center.
