MEETING MINUTES –
Chairman Flom called the meeting to order at
Members Present: Doug Flom, Bob Goodlad, Don J. Demulling, Brad Johnson and Dennis Early
Members Absent: John Bonneprise and Jack Hayes.
The agenda was presented by Flom. Johnson moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Goodlad and carried.
The February minutes were read by Demulling. Early moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Goodlad and carried

Demulling moved to approve the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Goodlad and carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Flood Plain Update: Early discussed the floodplain issue involving the St. Croix County portion of Cedar Lake. The board is going to investigate this further and may provide a pamphlet describing ways to avoid paying the floodplain insurance.
NEW BUSINESS
Star Prairie Land Preservation: Early presented an update about the Star Prairie Preservation Trust.
1. The walking trails have been completed on the Meinke property and a tour is scheduled for May 14th.
2. Gail Session’s property is nearing completion regarding deeding of the property to the land trust. The property borders the inlet area north of the lake.
3. The Star Prairie Land Preservation Trust is also pursuing property north of the Session’s property to either purchase or get a conservation easement on said properties up to 20th Avenue.
4. The trust is also working on the Peterson property, which is located west of the winter access in the bay.
2006 Budget: The board discussed allocating additional funds for the acquisition of property both on the inlet and outlet portions of the lake. This would be in conjunction with the Star Prairie Land Preservation Trust.

Goodlad moved to approve the 2006 budget, seconded by Early and carried. The annual meeting will be held August 6, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at the Cedar Lake Community Center.
Lake Association Nominees: Jack Hayes’ term as the St. Croix County Commissioner will end this year. According to the by-laws, any three electors may nominate additional candidates by submitting written nomination papers to the Secretary at least 70 days prior to the annual meeting.
The next meeting will be April 25, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Star Prairie Community Center.
