NEW BUSINESS
Star Prairie Land Preservation: Pete Kling gave a report on the Land Preservation’s latest projects. A new handicap accessible dock will be installed in the southwest bay this spring. Kling asked if the Lake District would be willing to help pay for this. Demulling stated that $4,500.00 had been budgeted for the Land Trust for 2006.
Fish Cribs: Demulling stated that Saturday, February 4th will be the work day for building the cribs. The logs have been delivered to the southwest bay area. Due to the thin ice condition, the cribs will have to be built on or near shore. Bob Swanda has offered to build a skidder to move the cribs to the designated locations in deep water for the amount of $1,200.00. Four wheel drive ATV’s will be used to move the cribs. Demulling moved to have Swanda build the skidder, seconded by Goodlad, and carried.
Lake Enforcement Officer: Demulling reported that with little or no snow cover there has been almost no snowmobile activity. No patrolling has taken place yet.
