CEDAR LAKE PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION DISTRICT

MEETING MINUTES – OCTOBER 22, 2007

 

Flom called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2007 at the Star Prairie Community Center.

 

Members Present: Doug Flom, Don Demulling, Dennis Early, Jack Hayes, Bob Goodlad and

Brad Johnson

 

Members Absent:  Neil Johnson

 

Early moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Goodlad, and carried.

 

The June 07 minutes were read by Demulling.  Goodlad moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Early, and carried 

 

Treasurer’s report by Early:

 

                        Ending Account Balance        $41,477.37

                        Income                                                  12,019.64

                        Expenses                                   10,695.41

                        Ending Account Balance        $42,801.60

 

Johnson moved to approve the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Goodlad and carried.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Compressor Update:  Hayes reported that the fuse box had to be replaced in the compressor building.  Everything has been winterized.  The compressor water discharge temperature readings will be submitted to the DNR.

 

Buoy Removal:  Flom reported that he has purchased a 12-volt electric winch, which will be installed on a platform for buoy removal.  The buoys will be removed in the next week or two.

 

Signage:  Flom and Demulling removed a post by the outlet.  Signs will be installed again this winter when the ice becomes safe enough.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Lake Leader Institute:  Hayes reported that he attended this seminar, which was sponsored by the University of Wisconsin.

 

Website:  Dan Michaelis submitted a bill for $120.00 per year to maintain the website.  Early moved to pay for the website expense, seconded by Goodlad, and carried.

 

The next meeting will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Star Prairie Community Center. 

                                   

Early moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Goodlad, and carried.  Meeting was adjourned at 8:07 p.m.
