Star Prairie Land Preservation Trust

The land trust is now in its 2^nd year of pursuing its mission of “Preserving environmentally important land to protect rural character, water quality, and wildlife habitat, for future generations.” Our early efforts are still focused on protection undeveloped shoreline and improving public access on Cedar Lake. Accomplishing our goals would be impossible without the kindness and cooperation of landowners, directors, members, and volunteers. We particularly want to thank the Menke and Wright families for their thoughtfulness and vision for the future of Cedar Lake. Without their support and the financial support of the Cedar Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District, Star Prairie Fish and Game, Wisconsin DNR, Star Prairie Township, and our members, the natural beauty of our area will be lost forever.
