WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of
the Cedar Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District, the Towns of Alden and
Star Prairie and State Department of Natural Resources have found that operation
of snowmobiles on open water and motor vehicles on the lake bottom adversely
affect lake water quality; and
WHEREAS, there is considerable snowmobile
and ATV traffic on
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has determined
that the public safety, health, welfare and water quality interest would be
best served by ending operation of snowmobiles, ATVs or other motor vehicles
over open water or on the lake bottom of
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners
does ordain as follows:
It shall be illegal to operate a
snowmobile, ATV or any other motor vehicle upon open water or on the lake
bottom of
